9 | This Lowenbrau Light Special as was brewed and distributed by Miller brewing company in the USA is as far as I am concerned the TRUE CHAMPAGNE OF BOTTLED BEER. I have drank beers from all over the world and none other has even came close to the elegance of this smooth thirst quenching beer. By thirst quenching, I really mean the opposite because one more just makes you want another. It is the only beer I have ever spent drinking a case of it in one day out on the lake in the boat fishing, swimming, skiing, and just boating and having fun all day. It gives a nice light buzz without the fullness feeling and unless you really over indulge yourself will never make you sick or give you a hang over. I have drank that beer for many many years and a lot of it, buying it buy several cases at a time and I have never ever had a hang over from drinking it. This beer and being around or in the water, playing of sorts and just having fun, just naturally seem to go together. I have never found another beer to equal or better the taste of Lowenbrau beer and I would buy 100 cases of it right now if I knew where to buy it again. I have looked for several years now with no success, trying to locate a source to have some shipped to me or delivered by a local beer distributor, but so far nothing at all. 9 | I can get a 6'er at Woodman's in Green Bay, WI for about $7.00. It's not the beer that Miller made under a license agreement. To bad Miller no longer makes it. It was my favorite beer, the price was much more reasonable and around town I could find it on tap. |

One of my favorite "go to" beers. Goes down nice and easy with a slight hoppy taste. Reasonably prices and widely available in my area. |

9.5 | Woodman's Green Bay, WI no longer sells Lowenbrau. I called Dean's Beverage, the local Anheuser Busch distributor in this region who sold it. They told me AB has dropped Lowenbrau on a national basis. I can no longer find it here in Green Bay. The best beer that can't be bought anywhere at any price. babooy to you all. |

Read my post above. Anheuser-Busch the American distributor of Lowenbrau has discontinued their distribution of it. Call your local AB distributor and ask if this is true. They maybe able to give you some suggestions on where it's available, if at all. Let us know what you find. | |
