7 | Peroni has a dignified taste. While not a stellar brew, it has a pedigree all its own. It's a refreshing change from the staid and predictable American domestics. Italians do many things well and Peroni is no exception. |

6 | I had to laugh at Nick and Nehru's comment about the stink factor of Peroni Beer. I have traveled all over europe and sampled hundreds of euro brews. This beer is fantastik euro style brew with a great finish. The italians definately are great at whatever they put their mind to. You guys really need to get out more and get over your coorlight/american beer mentality. |

By far the best tasting beer I have ever tried. I will not even go near an American made beer because it actually does STINK! What is the deal with Sam Adams? Every bottle has the same rotten bitter taste no matter what color label of fancy name they put on it. I knew Peroni was a quality and tasteful product before their classy and stylish ad came out confirming this. People with taste just know - all others drink Anhauser Busch products. | |

| Ryan T. 07-1-2008 12:39 pm |
7.5 | It was.. Ok. No aftertaste, smooth, goes well with red meat. But lacks punch, and a definative flavor... could easily replace it with Amstel Light, and you wouldnt tell the difference. Does it set itself apart? Not in my book. I would drink ANY belgium Abbey Ale (Trappist) over this ANY day. |

9 | I was in Italy last summer and loved it. I like Peroni Lager better than the Peroni Nastro Azzuro. When cold Peroni is a refreshing beer with very little aftertaste. As for people that said it was skunky they nust have had some Peroni that was past its date as we all know Beer doesnot have a naturally skunky taste. Its because its not fresh. Anyone know I cant find Peroni in Canada? I can find Nastro Azzuro but not the Birra Peroni. |
| Randy R 10-16-2008 8:12 am |
8 | Opened the bottle, got a whiff and wondered if I could manage to swallow it. Once I actually tasted it though, it wasn't long before I really started to enjoy it. This is a very good beer although it is a a change if you're used to lighter stuff. |

8 | Found some left over in the cooler after a flight, so I liberated the stuff from the plane and took it home in my back pack on my Ducati. Hmm, Italians make some hot bikes and cars, now let's sample the beer. Not bad. Not bad at all. I think it taste way better then Heineken because it is not hopped so heavily. If it did not cost $8.00/6-pack I would buy it. Right now I'll just keep a lookout for leftovers in the plane. |

9.5 | This is a superb beer!. A beautifully clean tasting consistent drop. I've been drinking this for a year now after seeing it at my West Australian bottle shop and giving it a go. Don't get the smell factor .. but some have suggested an eggy odour .. maybe it's the smell that comes from great beers .. with quality/complexity. Peroni is a beer drinker's beer .. a corker of a Pilsener and perfect for summer drinking. It seems there are lots of fans of excessively malty American style lagers about the place .. Liberate your taste buds .. and give Peroni another go!. |

8.5 | After I got sick on my 21st, threw up 40 times.. i guess it was hotwings, ranch, shots mixed with beer.. dark beers. Which I thought were good at that time, to this day I can't stand them. So I went back to try the beers I first learned to drink, italian beers. Peroni is the shit. |
| GiGi Barone 04-13-2009 1:44 pm |
9 | I wish I could find Birra Peroni in Canada. They only sell the Peroni Nastro Azzuro up here. That is an ok beer. It tastes like Heineken but the original Peroni Beer is an excellent beer. It is refreshing and has no after taste. That is all I drank when I was in Italy. Excellent beer!!! |

8.5 | Hello, Peroni is among the best Euro beers you can access here without too much difficulty. First tried it a fine Itlian rest. here that had no Moretti(s)...I'd say Peroni is up there w/the better brews. (Stink-factor? Please...try Newcastle Brown for that, but it still rocks, don't it?) |

9.5 | Smell? Whats this smell people are speaking of? When I placed the finely appointed bottle of Peroni near my nose the refreshing aroma of this fine quencher was the closest thing to a natural aphrodisiac I've ever encountered. I was first able to purse my lips around a bottle of Peroni Nastro Azzurro on an incredibly sunny day on the shores of beautiful Pacific Beach located in the thriving Metropolis of San Diego. Other than the first time I tasted my Aunt Mabel's world reknown Split Pea Soup I must say this is the tastiest substance to bless my palate. The only thing that kept this gift from God from being rated a perfect 10 was the fact that my yarmulke blew off my head when I tilted my head back to drink in its goodness. |
| Patrick 08-21-2009 9:14 pm |
9 | Great smooth taste. A proper Euro lager. I am a fan of Pilsner and Heineken and have abandoned them for Peroni because it is different than all those other green bottle beers and Mexican lagers everyone I know drinks so much of. Peroni is a tasty Lager that has not been over sold. Drink it to be different than the average beer drinking idiot. |
| robin 09-2-2009 5:08 am |
5 | While it is not a bad beer it is on par with most countries major brand beer. Here are some things to consider when discussing Peroni, first there are two different beers, export and for local sales. The export is marred by lack of a large foreign market presence and can sit on the shelf for quite a long time, skunk beer, it is also a different brew than the local. So those in the foreign countries are experiencing one thing while those in Italy another. Peroni is owned by SABMiller, which erases any snob appeal that may have been attached to it. Finally, two things to consider, first, for those who urge Americans to step out of the box, take a look at the top beers on the list and I think you will see a fair representation from the US and second, comparing ales, bocks, porters, stouts, lagers, etc is similar to trying to comparing wine, Champagne and Bacardi Breezer or cars, Ferrari and Hyundai. Each has a place, but not in rating the other. I am a lager fan and I enjoy, German, Australian and Mexican lagers in that order. When in Italy last, I drank Heineken, liking the taste over Corona, Bud and Peroni, but that is just me. In a couple of weeks I will be lucky enough to give Peroni another go. |

9.5 | I had this beer New Years Eve at an authentic Italian Restaurant to try something new and get into the Italian spirit and loved it! Made for a great New Years Eve as I didn't have to sip it an gag at the thought of finishing it like some many other American beers. |

9.5 | I absolutely love Peroni. I recently spent some time in Rome and Venice, and Peroni was one of my staples while there, so I may be partial. Actually found a bottle last night, and it was even better than I remember (for some reason, Italian beer is often skunked IN Italy). If yours smelled bad, it was definitely skunked...try it again. |

9 | Beer in a green bottle is always the best, Peroni has a great taste. You are smelling the hops. People who drink light beer, are not beer drinkers. Light beer drinkers can take the light weight train out of town. I will be drinking Peroni while Italy wins the World Cup again. Here's to you. MRC |

6 | Peroni is an inexpensive and adequate Italian beer, but analogous to a reasonable table wine. Try Moretti and you'll instantly appreciate superior quality from Italy. |

8.5 | very good beer. taste's like a better Heineken. alot of people are saying the beer smell bad but I dont smell anything but a good beer. |
| p64 03-11-2010 10:13 am |
9.5 | Peroni (the cheaper one, not Nastro Azzurro) is by far the best lager in the world. Clean, light, refreshing, just flawless. Heineken and the likes cost more than twice and are way inferior, but spending billions in advertising.... Why is it so difficult to find outside Italy? Well probably the owners (SABMiller) do not want Coors and Miller lose market share once people discover Peroni... Sad. |

7 | First of all numbnuts all beers can stink if it gets lightstruck, that doesn't mean the beer is bad. As far a taste it's decent and very drinkable not a world class beer but pretty good nonetheless....and it's a step up atleast for those who can't handle aftertaste in their beers. |
